The S6’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The XF doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi S6 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Jaguar XF doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Audi S6 has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. The S6’s 2.9 turbo V6 hybrid produces 148 more horsepower (444 vs. 296) and 147 lbs.-ft. more torque (442 vs. 295) than the XF P300’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder.

The S6 has a standard locking fuel door which locks and unlocks with the power locks The fuel filler door is not lockable on the XF. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

The S6 Prestige’s Park Assist Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Park Assist Plus Remote will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The XF S’ automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.

The S6 will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the S6 will retain 46.87% to 46.9% of its original price after five years, while the XF only retains 32.78% to 33.1%.
