Tires and Wheels
The Vantage has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the AMG SL; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
Suspension and Handling
The Vantage has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The AMG SL doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
For better maneuverability, the Vantage’s turning circle is 2 feet tighter than the AMG SL’s (38.7 feet vs. 40.7 feet).
Chassis
The Aston Martin Vantage may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 to 850 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG SL.
