Compare the2023 Aston Martin DB11VS 2023 Bugatti Chiron

The Aston Martin DB11 has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Chiron doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the DB11 and the Chiron have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and around view monitors.

On the EPA test cycle the DB11 Coupe gets better mileage than the Chiron:

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the DB11 V12’s fuel efficiency. The Chiron doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the DB11’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Chiron doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Aston Martin DB11 higher (3 to 5 out of 10) than the Bugatti Chiron (1). This means the DB11 produces up to 39 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Chiron every 15,000 miles.

An eight-speed automatic is standard on the Aston Martin DB11, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Chiron.

The DB11 stops shorter than the Chiron:

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the DB11’s wheelbase is 3.7 inches longer than on the Chiron (110.4 inches vs. 106.7 inches).

The DB11’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51% to 49%) than the Chiron’s (43% to 57%). This gives the DB11 more stable handling and braking.

For better maneuverability, the DB11’s turning circle is 11.4 feet tighter than the Chiron’s (38.4 feet vs. 49.8 feet).

The Aston Martin DB11 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 pounds less than the Bugatti Chiron.

The DB11 has standard seating for 4 passengers; the Chiron can only carry 2.

The DB11 has 18 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Chiron (72 vs. 54).

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the DB11’s trunk can be opened just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. On extremely cold winter days, the DB11’s optional heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the car heater warms up. The Chiron doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

The DB11’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Chiron doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

The DB11’s standard separate stalk mounted cruise control is close at hand. The Chiron’s standard cruise control is on an over-crowded turn signal stalk.
