For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Jeep Wagoneer are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Vinfast VF 9 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Wagoneer are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Wagoneer’s optional Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The VF 9 doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Wagoneer Grand helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Wagoneer and the VF 9 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available all wheel drive, lane departure warning systems, around view monitors and driver alert monitors.

The Wagoneer’s optional 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder produces 18 more horsepower (420 vs. 402) and 11 lbs.-ft. more torque (468 vs. 457) than the VF 9’s electric motors. The Grand Wagoneer’s standard 6.4 V8 produces 69 more horsepower (471 vs. 402) than the VF 9’s electric motors. The Grand Wagoneer’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder produces 108 more horsepower (510 vs. 402) and 43 lbs.-ft. more torque (500 vs. 457) than the VF 9’s electric motors.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Wagoneer V8’s fuel efficiency. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Wagoneer has a standard locking fuel door with a remote release located convenient to the driver A locking charge port is an option at extra cost on the VF 9. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

The Jeep Wagoneer’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Vinfast VF 9 only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The Wagoneer has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The VF 9 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The Wagoneer has a standard full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the VF 9; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Wagoneer offers an optional driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The VF 9’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Wagoneer offers an optional automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Wagoneer’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For greater off-road capability the Wagoneer has a greater minimum ground clearance than the VF 9 (8.3 vs. 7.8 inches), allowing the Wagoneer to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Wagoneer Air Suspension’s minimum ground clearance is 2.2 inches higher than on the VF 9 (10 vs. 7.8 inches).

The Jeep Wagoneer may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 400 pounds less than the Vinfast VF 9.

The front grille of the Wagoneer uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The VF 9 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Wagoneer uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The VF 9 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Wagoneer offers optional seating for 8 passengers; the VF 9 can only carry 7.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Wagoneer’s middle and third row seats recline. The VF 9’s third row seats don’t recline.

Standard Trailer Sway Control on the Wagoneer uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The VF 9 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Wagoneer has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

Unlike the driver-only memory seat in the VF 9 Plus, the Wagoneer Grand offers an optional passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, foot pedal distance, outside mirror angle and radio stations and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Wagoneer is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
