Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the QX80 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Land Rover covers the Range Rover. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Range Rover ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The QX80’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Range Rover’s (7 vs. 6 years).

Infiniti pays for scheduled maintenance on the QX80 for 3 years and 36,000 miles. Infiniti will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Land Rover doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Range Rover.

Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Land Rover With 56 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Infiniti higher than Land Rover.

The QX80’s 5.6 DOHC V8 produces 5 more horsepower (400 vs. 395) and 7 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 406) than the Range Rover P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid.
