Both the Cullinan and Grand Cherokee have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Cullinan has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Grand Cherokee’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Grand Cherokee doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The Cullinan has a standard PostCrash iBrake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Grand Cherokee doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Cullinan. But it costs extra on the Grand Cherokee.

Both the Cullinan and the Grand Cherokee have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available night vision systems.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan weighs 511 to 1831 pounds more than the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Cullinan comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Grand Cherokee’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Cullinan for 1 year longer than Jeep pays for maintenance for the Grand Cherokee (4/unlimited vs. 3/unlimited).

For smoother operation, better efficiency and fewer moving parts, the engines in the Cullinan have an overhead cam design, rather than the old pushrod design of the 5.7 V8 in the Grand Cherokee.

The Cullinan has more powerful engines than the Grand Cherokee:

The Cullinan has 11.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Grand Cherokee 4xe Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (30.4 vs. 19 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The Cullinan has 7.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Grand Cherokee’s standard fuel tank (30.4 vs. 23 gallons).

For better traction, the Cullinan has larger tires than the Grand Cherokee (255/50R21 vs. 245/70R17).

The Cullinan’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Grand Cherokee Laredo’s standard 70 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Cullinan has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 17-inch wheels are standard on the Grand Cherokee Laredo. The Cullinan’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the Grand Cherokee Summit.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Cullinan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Grand Cherokee doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The front and rear suspension of the Cullinan uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Grand Cherokee, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

If the windows are left open on the Cullinan the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Grand Cherokee can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Cullinan has a standard locking fuel door with a remote release located convenient to the driver. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank. The Grand Cherokee doesn’t offer a locking fuel/charge port door.

The Cullinan’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Grand Cherokee’s standard intermittent wipers change speed with vehicle speed, but can’t turn on and off or change speed based on changing rainfall.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Cullinan has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Grand Cherokee doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Cullinan also has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Cullinan has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Grand Cherokee.

The Cullinan has standard massaging front seats. Massaging front seats cost extra on the Grand Cherokee, and aren’t available on the Grand Cherokee Laredo/Limited/Trailhawk. The Cullinan also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Grand Cherokee.

The Cullinan’s Parking Assistant Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Grand Cherokee Summit’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.
