Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cullinan has standard Active Park Distance Control that uses rear sensors to monitor and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a rear collision. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

The Cullinan’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Cullinan and the RS Q8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and available night vision systems.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan weighs 579 pounds more than the Audi RS Q8. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Cullinan comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The RS Q8’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Cullinan for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Audi only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the RS Q8.

The Cullinan’s standard 6.8 turbo V12 produces 37 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 590) than the RS Q8’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid. The Cullinan Black Badge’s standard 6.8 turbo V12 produces 1 more horsepower (592 vs. 591) and 74 lbs.-ft. more torque (664 vs. 590) than the RS Q8’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

The Cullinan has 7.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the RS Q8 (30.4 vs. 22.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Cullinan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Cullinan’s wheelbase is 11.8 inches longer than on the RS Q8 (129.7 inches vs. 117.9 inches).

Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the Cullinan when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the tailgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The RS Q8 doesn’t offer tailgating seats.

The Cullinan has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the RS Q8 with its rear seat up (43.4 vs. 30.5 cubic feet). The Cullinan has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the RS Q8 with its rear seat folded (68.2 vs. 60.7 cubic feet).

A control in the cargo area automatically lowers or raises the Cullinan’s rear seats, to make changing between cargo and passengers easier. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer automatic folding seats.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Cullinan has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Cullinan also has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Cullinan’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Cullinan has standard massaging front seats. Massaging front seats cost extra on the RS Q8. The Cullinan also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the RS Q8.

The Cullinan’s Parking Assistant Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The RS Q8 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
