The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Cullinan has standard PostCrash, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cullinan has standard Active Park Distance Control that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cullinan helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan weighs 441 to 1324 pounds more than the Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Cullinan comes with a full 4-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Range Rover Sport’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Rolls-Royce pays for scheduled maintenance on the Cullinan for 4 years and unlimited miles. Rolls-Royce will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Land Rover doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Range Rover Sport.

The Cullinan has more powerful engines than the Range Rover Sport:

The Cullinan has 4.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the Range Rover Sport P440e’s standard fuel tank (23.8 vs. 18.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Cullinan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Cullinan’s wheelbase is 11.7 inches longer than on the Range Rover Sport (129.7 inches vs. 118 inches).

The Cullinan is 8 inches narrower than the Range Rover Sport, making the Cullinan easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Cullinan has a standard locking fuel door with a remote release located convenient to the driver. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank. A locking fuel/charge port door is only offered on the Range Rover Sport P440e.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Cullinan has standard extendable sun visors. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Cullinan to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Cullinan has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Range Rover Sport.

The Cullinan has standard massaging front seats. Massaging front seats are only available on the Range Rover Sport Autobiography/First Edition. The Cullinan also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Range Rover Sport.
