The EQE Sedan has a standard Post Collision Brake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The EQE Sedan stops shorter than the Electrified G80:

For better traction, the EQE Sedan’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Electrified G80 (F:255/35R21 & R:285/30R21 vs. F:245/45R19 & R:275/40R19).

The EQE Sedan’s optional 255/35R21 front and 285/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified G80’s 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the EQE Sedan offers optional 21-inch wheels. The Electrified G80’s largest wheels are only 19-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the EQE Sedan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The EQE Sedan has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The EQE Sedan’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The EQE Sedan’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the EQE Sedan’s wheelbase is 4.3 inches longer than on the Electrified G80 (122.8 inches vs. 118.5 inches).

The design of the Mercedes EQE Sedan amounts to more than styling. The EQE Sedan has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .22 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Electrified G80 (.26) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the EQE Sedan get better fuel mileage.

The EQE Sedan has .6 inches more front shoulder room, 1.4 inches more rear headroom and 2.3 inches more rear legroom than the Electrified G80.

The EQE Sedan’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Electrified G80, the EQE Sedan has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer fluid is optional on the EQE Sedan to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the EQE Sedan has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer cornering lights. The EQE Sedan also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The EQE Sedan is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
