Safety
Warranty
The Roma comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The NSX’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Roma for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Acura doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the NSX.
Engine
The Roma’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 12 more horsepower (612 vs. 600) and 69 lbs.-ft. more torque (561 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.
Fuel Economy and Range
Both the Roma and NSX have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. The Roma has a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily.
The Roma has 5.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (21.1 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Environmental Friendliness
In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari Roma higher (6 out of 10) than the Acura NSX (3). This means the Roma produces up to 23.4 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the NSX every 15,000 miles.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the Roma’s brake rotors are larger than those on the NSX:

Tires and Wheels
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Roma has standard 20-inch wheels. Only 19-inch front wheels are available on the NSX.
Suspension and Handling
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Roma’s wheelbase is 1.6 inches longer than on the NSX (105.1 inches vs. 103.5 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Roma is 1.6 inches wider in the rear than on the NSX.
For better maneuverability, the Roma’s turning circle is 4.3 feet tighter than the NSX’s (35.4 feet vs. 39.7 feet).
Chassis
The Ferrari Roma may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 500 pounds less than the Acura NSX.
Passenger Space
The Roma has standard seating for 4 passengers; the NSX can only carry 2.
The Roma has 25.3 cubic feet more passenger volume than the NSX (80 vs. 54.7).
Cargo Capacity
The Roma has a much larger trunk than the NSX (10.3 vs. 4.4 cubic feet).
Ergonomics
When three different drivers share the Roma, the memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The NSX doesn’t offer a memory system.
The Roma’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The NSX doesn’t offer an easy entry system.
The Roma’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The NSX does not have an oil pressure gauge.
The Roma’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The NSX’s power window switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.
The Roma’s standard rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The NSX has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
