The Ferrari F8 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1100 to 1150 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG SL.

The design of the Ferrari F8 amounts to more than styling. The F8 has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .292 Cd. That is lower than the AMG SL (.31). A more efficient exterior helps the F8 go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the F8 get better fuel mileage.
The F8’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The AMG SL doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
