Compare the2023 Ferrari F8 VS 2023 McLaren Artura

Using vehicle speed sensors and seat sensors, smart airbags in the F8 deploy with different levels of force or don’t deploy at all to help better protect passengers of all sizes in different collisions. The F8’s side airbags will shut off if a child is leaning against the door. The Artura’s side airbags don’t have smart features and will always deploy full force.

Both the F8 and the Artura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rearview cameras.

The F8 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Artura’s 45000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the F8 for 4 years and -27000 miles longer than McLaren pays for maintenance for the Artura (7/unlimited vs. 3/27000).

The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 39 more horsepower (710 vs. 671) and 36 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid.

The F8 has 5.3 gallons more fuel capacity than the Artura (22.7 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the F8’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Artura:

For better traction, the F8 has larger tires than the Artura (F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:295/35R20).

The F8’s 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Artura’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F8 has standard 20-inch wheels. Only 19-inch front wheels are available on the Artura.

The F8 offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Artura; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the F8 is 1 inch wider in the front and 1.3 inches wider in the rear than on the Artura.

For better maneuverability, the F8’s turning circle is .6 feet tighter than the Artura’s (38.7 feet vs. 39.3 feet).

The F8’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Artura doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The F8 Tributo has a much larger trunk than the Artura (7.1 vs. 5.7 cubic feet).

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the F8. The Artura doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The F8’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Artura does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The F8 has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Artura doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The F8’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The Artura’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

The F8’s optional rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Artura has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the F8 has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The Artura doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.

The Ferrari F8 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the McLaren Artura isn’t available as a convertible.
