The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 331 more horsepower (710 vs. 379) and 236 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 331) than the 911’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 267 more horsepower (710 vs. 443) and 177 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 390) than the 911 S’ standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 237 more horsepower (710 vs. 473) and 147 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 420) than the 911 GTS/Dakar’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The F8 has 5.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the 911’s standard fuel tank (22.7 vs. 16.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better traction, the F8 has larger tires than the 911 (F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20 vs. F:235/40R19 & R:295/35R20).

The F8’s 245/35R20 front and 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 911 Dakar’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F8 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch front wheels are standard on the 911.

The F8 offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the 911; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the F8’s wheelbase is 7.8 inches longer than on the 911 (104.3 inches vs. 96.5 inches). The F8’s wheelbase is 7.6 inches longer than on the 911 GT3 (104.3 inches vs. 96.7 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the F8 is 3.4 inches wider in the front and 3.2 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the 911.

The F8’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (41.5% to 58.5%) than the 911’s (39.5% to 60.5%). This gives the F8 more stable handling and braking.

The F8 Tributo executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the 911 S Coupe (22.8 seconds @ .93 average G’s vs. 23.3 seconds @ .86 average G’s).

The design of the Ferrari F8 amounts to more than styling. The F8 has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .292 Cd. That is lower than the 911 (.31 to .33). A more efficient exterior helps the F8 go faster and keeps the interior quieter. It also helps the F8 get better fuel mileage.

The F8’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The 911 doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The F8 Tributo has a much larger trunk than the 911 Coupe with its rear seat up (7.1 vs. 4.6 cubic feet).

With its coupe body style and remote trunk release lockout, the F8 offers cargo security. The 911’s non-lockable folding seat defeats cargo security.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The F8 has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The 911 doesn’t offer headlight washers.
