Compare the2023 Ferrari F8 VS 2023 Lamborghini Huracán

Using vehicle speed sensors and seat sensors, smart airbags in the F8 deploy with different levels of force or don’t deploy at all to help better protect passengers of all sizes in different collisions. The F8’s side airbags will shut off if a child is leaning against the door. The Huracán’s side airbags don’t have smart features and will always deploy full force.

Both the F8 and the Huracán have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rearview cameras.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the F8 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Lamborghini doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Huracán.

The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 108 more horsepower (710 vs. 602) and 154 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 413) than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10. The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 80 more horsepower (710 vs. 630) and 124 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 443) than the Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10. The F8’s 3.9 turbo V8 produces 79 more horsepower (710 vs. 631) and 150 lbs.-ft. more torque (567 vs. 417) than the Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10.

On the EPA test cycle the F8 Tributo gets better mileage than the Huracán:

The F8 has 1.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Huracán (22.7 vs. 21.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari F8 higher (3 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Huracán (1). This means the F8 produces up to 22.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Huracán every 15,000 miles.

For better stopping power the F8’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Huracán:

For better traction, the F8 has larger tires than the Huracán (F:245/35R20 & R:305/30R20 vs. F:235/40R19 & R:285/40R19).

The F8’s 245/35R20 front and 305/30R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F8 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Huracán.

The F8 offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Huracán; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some tire options on the Huracán don’t have a run-flat feature, either.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the F8’s wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer than on the Huracán Technica Coupe (104.3 inches vs. 103.1 inches).

The F8 Tributo handles at 1.06 G’s, while the Huracán Coupe AWD pulls only 1.02 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The F8’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Huracán doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The F8 Tributo has a much larger trunk than the Huracán Coupe (7.1 vs. 3.5 cubic feet).

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the F8 to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Lamborghini doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Huracán.

When three different drivers share the F8, the optional memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Huracán doesn’t offer a memory system.

The F8’s driver’s power window opens or closes with one touch of the window control, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths. The Huracán’s power windows’ switch has to be held the entire time to close it fully.

The F8’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Huracán’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the F8 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Huracán doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The F8’s optional rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Huracán offers an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the F8 has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The Huracán doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
