Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 296 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Acura doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the NSX.
Engine
The 296’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 219 more horsepower (819 vs. 600) and 54 lbs.-ft. more torque (546 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.
Fuel Economy and Range
On the EPA test cycle the 296 running on electricity gets better mileage than the NSX Type S (45 city/49 hwy MPGe vs. 21 city/22 hwy).
The 296 can travel with zero emissions for 7 miles. The NSX can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.
Both the 296 and NSX have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. The 296 has a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily.
The 296 has 2.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (17.8 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The 296’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The NSX does not have an oil pressure gauge.
The 296 has a standard heads-up display that projects speed and tachometer readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The NSX doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the 296 has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The NSX doesn’t offer cornering lights.
Model Availability
