Both the 296 and the Huracán have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

Safety
Warranty
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 296 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Lamborghini doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Huracán.
Engine
The 296’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 217 more horsepower (819 vs. 602) and 133 lbs.-ft. more torque (546 vs. 413) than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10. The 296’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 189 more horsepower (819 vs. 630) and 103 lbs.-ft. more torque (546 vs. 443) than the Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10. The 296’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 188 more horsepower (819 vs. 631) and 129 lbs.-ft. more torque (546 vs. 417) than the Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10.

The 296 can travel with zero emissions for 7 miles. The Huracán can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.
Regenerative brakes improve the 296’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Huracán doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.
Transmission
An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Ferrari 296, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Huracán.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the 296’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Huracán:

In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes with enough force to stop the vehicle in the shortest distance. The 296 has a standard brake assist system to detect emergency braking situations (by how hard and how quickly the brake pedal is pressed) and then automatically apply maximum braking immediately in order to help prevent a collision. The Huracán doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.
Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the 296 has larger tires than the Huracán (F:245/35R20 & R:305/35R20 vs. F:235/40R19 & R:285/40R19).
The 296’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 40 series tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the 296 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Huracán.
Chassis
The 296’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Huracán doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
Passenger Space
The 296 has 15 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Huracán (61 vs. 46).
Cargo Capacity
The 296 GTB has a much larger trunk than the Huracán Coupe (5 vs. 3.5 cubic feet).
Ergonomics
When three different drivers share the 296, the memory seats make it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position. The Huracán doesn’t offer memory seats.
The 296’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Huracán’s power windows’ switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.
The 296’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Huracán’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.
To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the 296 has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Huracán doesn’t offer cornering lights.
