Safety
Warranty
The 812 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The NSX’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 812 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Acura doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the NSX.
Engine
The 812’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 189 more horsepower (789 vs. 600) and 38 lbs.-ft. more torque (530 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.
Fuel Economy and Range
The 812 has 8.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (24.3 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the 812’s brake rotors are larger than those on the NSX:

Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the 812 has larger tires than the NSX (F:275/35R20 & R:315/35R20 vs. F:245/35R19 & R:305/30R20).
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the 812 has standard 20-inch wheels. Only 19-inch front wheels are available on the NSX.
The 812 offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the NSX; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
Suspension and Handling
The 812 offers an optional automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The NSX doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the 812’s wheelbase is 3.6 inches longer than on the NSX (107.1 inches vs. 103.5 inches).
The 812’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (47% to 53%) than the NSX’s (42% to 58%). This gives the 812 more stable handling and braking.
Chassis
The Ferrari 812 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 to 350 pounds less than the Acura NSX.
The 812’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The NSX doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.
Ergonomics
When three different drivers share the 812, the optional memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The NSX doesn’t offer a memory system.
The 812’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The NSX does not have an oil pressure gauge.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The 812 has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The NSX doesn’t offer headlight washers.
To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the 812 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The NSX doesn’t offer cornering lights.
The 812’s sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The NSX’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.
