Compare the2023 Ferrari 812VS 2023 Lamborghini Huracán

Both the 812 and the Huracán have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rearview cameras.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the 812 for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Lamborghini doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Huracán.

The 812’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 187 more horsepower (789 vs. 602) and 117 lbs.-ft. more torque (530 vs. 413) than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10. The 812’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 159 more horsepower (789 vs. 630) and 87 lbs.-ft. more torque (530 vs. 443) than the Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10. The 812’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 158 more horsepower (789 vs. 631) and 113 lbs.-ft. more torque (530 vs. 417) than the Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10.

The 812 has 3.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the Huracán (24.3 vs. 21.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari 812 higher (3 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Huracán (1). This means the 812 produces up to 22.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Huracán every 15,000 miles.

For better traction, the 812 has larger tires than the Huracán (F:275/35R20 & R:315/35R20 vs. F:235/40R19 & R:285/40R19). The 812’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Huracán (F:275/35R20 & R:315/35R20 vs. F:245/30R20 & R:305/30R20).

The 812’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Huracán Sterrato’s standard 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the 812 has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Huracán.

The 812 offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Huracán; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some tire options on the Huracán don’t have a run-flat feature, either.

The 812 offers an optional automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Huracán doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the 812 GTS’ wheelbase is 4 inches longer than on the Huracán Technica Coupe (107.1 inches vs. 103.1 inches). The 812 GTS’ wheelbase is 3.6 inches longer than on the Huracán Sterrato (107.1 inches vs. 103.5 inches).

The 812’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (47% to 53%) than the Huracán’s (43% to 57%). This gives the 812 more stable handling and braking.

The 812’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The Huracán doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the 812 to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Lamborghini doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Huracán.

When three different drivers share the 812, the optional memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Huracán doesn’t offer a memory system.

The 812’s driver’s power window opens or closes with one touch of the window control, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths. The Huracán’s power windows’ switch has to be held the entire time to close it fully.

The 812’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Huracán’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the 812 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Huracán doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The 812’s sun-visors swivel front-to-side to block glare from the side windows. The Huracán’s visors are fixed into the windshield header.

To help keep the driver’s hands on the wheel, the 812 has standard steering wheel controls for the radio. The Huracán doesn’t offer steering wheel audio controls.
