Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Porsche vehicles are more reliable than Mercedes vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in long-term dependability. With 30 more problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, Mercedes is rated below average.

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 67 more horsepower (670 vs. 603) and 36 lbs.-ft. more torque (663 vs. 627) than the AMG GLE 63 S’ optional 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

The Cayenne can travel with zero emissions for 15 to 17 miles (dependent on model). The AMG GLE can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

The Cayenne’s standard fuel tank has 1.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG GLE (23.7 vs. 22.5 gallons).

The Cayenne’s optional launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The AMG GLE doesn’t offer launch control.

The AMG GLE’s automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.

The Cayenne will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the Cayenne will retain 47.75% to 53.12% of its original price after five years, while the AMG GLE only retains 42.71%.
