Safety
Warranty
The Levante comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The Bentayga’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.
The Levante’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Bentayga’s (4 vs. 3 years).
There are over 2 times as many Maserati dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Levante’s warranty.
Fuel Economy and Range
On the EPA test cycle the Levante gets better mileage than the Bentayga running its gasoline engine:

The Levante has 1.3 gallons more fuel capacity than the Bentayga Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (21.1 vs. 19.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Transmission
The Levante Trofeo’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Bentayga doesn’t offer launch control.
Brakes and Stopping
The Levante stops much shorter than the Bentayga:

Tires and Wheels
The Levante’s optional 265/35R22 front and 295/30R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Bentayga’s optional 40 series tires.
Suspension and Handling
The Levante’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Bentayga doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.
The Levante’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the Bentayga’s (56% to 44%). This gives the Levante more stable handling and braking.
The Levante Modena handles at .91 G’s, while the Bentayga pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.
Chassis
The Maserati Levante may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 700 to 750 pounds less than the Bentley Bentayga.
The Levante is 4.8 inches shorter than the Bentayga V8, making the Levante easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
The front grille of the Levante uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Bentayga doesn’t offer active grille shutters.
Cargo Capacity
The Levante has a much larger cargo volume than the Bentayga with its rear seat up (20.5 vs. 7.5 cubic feet).
The Levante’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Bentayga w/Four Seat Comfort Specification doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.
Towing
Trailer Sway Mitigation is standard on all models of the Levante, using the Maserati Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Bentayga Hybrid doesn’t offer a trailer sway program.
Ergonomics
The Levante’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Bentayga does not have an oil pressure gauge.
On a hot day the Levante’s driver can lower all the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Bentayga can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
The Levante’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Bentayga’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.
To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Levante has a standard rear fixed intermittent wiper with a full on position. The rear wiper standard on the Bentayga only has an intermittent setting, so in a hard rain visibility isn’t as good.
Recommendations
The Maserati Levante outsold the Bentley Bentayga by almost three to one during 2022.
