The Lamborghini Urus has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The SQ7 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the Urus and the SQ7 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available night vision systems, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 157 more horsepower (657 vs. 500) and 59 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 568) than the SQ7’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

For better stopping power the Urus’ brake rotors are larger than those on the SQ7:

The Urus has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The SQ7 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Urus stops shorter than the SQ7:

For better traction and acceleration, the Urus has larger standard rear tires than the SQ7 (315/40R21 vs. 285/40R21). The Urus’ optional rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the SQ7 (325/30R23 vs. 285/40R21).

The Urus’ optional 285/35R23 front and 325/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the SQ7’s 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Urus offers optional 23-inch wheels. The SQ7’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

The Urus offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the SQ7; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Urus handles at 1.01 G’s, while the SQ7 Premium Plus pulls only .91 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Urus executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.7 seconds quicker than the SQ7 Premium Plus (23.5 seconds @ .87 average G’s vs. 25.2 seconds @ .76 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Urus’ turning circle is 2.3 feet tighter than the SQ7’s (38.7 feet vs. 41 feet).

The Lamborghini Urus may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 550 pounds less than the Audi SQ7.

The Urus has 1 inch more front headroom and 1.2 inches more rear legroom than the SQ7.

The Urus has a much larger cargo volume than the SQ7 with its rear seat up (21.8 vs. 14.2 cubic feet).
