For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Lamborghini Urus are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Aston Martin DBX doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

An active infrared night vision system optional on the Urus helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The DBX doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Urus has standard Private Emergency Call, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The DBX doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Urus and the DBX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 115 more horsepower (657 vs. 542) and 111 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 516) than the DBX’s standard 4.0 turbo V8.

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Urus is .2 inches wider in the front and 1.9 inches wider in the rear than the track on the DBX.

The Urus handles at 1.02 G’s, while the DBX pulls only .92 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Urus executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the DBX (23.5 seconds @ .87 average G’s vs. 24.4 seconds @ .79 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Urus’ turning circle is 2 feet tighter than the DBX’s (38.7 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Urus has a greater minimum ground clearance than the DBX (9.8 vs. 9.3 inches), allowing the Urus to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

As tested by Car and Driver, the interior of the Urus is quieter than the DBX:

The Urus has .5 inches more front shoulder room and 2 inches more rear shoulder room than the DBX.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Urus’ available rear seats recline. The DBX’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Urus has a larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the DBX with its rear seat folded (56.4 vs. 54 cubic feet).

The Urus’ standard towing capacity is much higher than the DBX’s (7716 vs. 5940 pounds).

The Urus offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and tachometer readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The DBX doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Urus to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The DBX doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Urus offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the DBX.

The Urus’ optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Park Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The DBX’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.
