Compare the2023 Lamborghini HuracánVS 2022 McLaren 720S

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The 720S doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the 720S have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

As tested in Car and Driver the Huracán Evo is faster than the McLaren 720S:

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The 720S doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Huracán has 2.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the 720S (21.1 vs. 19 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren 720S is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the 720S:

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 720S’ 35 series front tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Huracán Technica/STO has standard 20-inch wheels. The 720S’ largest wheels are only 19-inches in the front and 20-inches in the rear.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The 720S doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Huracán Coupe AWD handles at 1.14 G’s, while the 720S Coupe pulls only 1.10 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 2 feet tighter than the 720S’ (37.7 feet vs. 39.7 feet).

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The 720S does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The 720S doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Huracán’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The 720S’ power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

Standard smartphone integration for the Huracán allows the driver and passengers access to select programs on their smartphones, including reading text messages aloud, playing internet radio stations, searching the internet and other connected activities without taking their eyes off the road or their hands from the wheel. The 720S doesn’t offer factory integrated smartphone program access.
