Compare the2023 Lamborghini HuracánVS 2022 Lexus RC F

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The RC F doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the RC F have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

The Huracán Sterrato’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 130 more horsepower (602 vs. 472) and 18 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 395) than the RC F’s 5.0 DOHC V8. The Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 158 more horsepower (630 vs. 472) and 48 lbs.-ft. more torque (443 vs. 395) than the RC F’s 5.0 DOHC V8. The Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 159 more horsepower (631 vs. 472) and 22 lbs.-ft. more torque (417 vs. 395) than the RC F’s 5.0 DOHC V8.

As tested in Car and Driver the Huracán Evo is faster than the Lexus RC F:

In a Road and Track race course test, the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe was clocked 7.56 seconds faster than the Lexus RC F Fuji Speedway Edition (80 sec. vs. 87.56 sec.).

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The RC F doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Huracán’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. The RC F doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Huracán has 3.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the RC F (21.1 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The RC F doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Huracán offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The RC F doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Lexus RC F is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the RC F:

For better traction and acceleration, the Huracán has larger standard rear tires than the RC F (285/40R19 vs. 275/35R19). The Huracán Technica/STO’s rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the RC F (305/30R20 vs. 275/35R19).

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the RC F’s 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Huracán Technica/STO has standard 20-inch wheels. The RC F’s largest wheels are only 19-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The RC F doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Huracán is 4.9 inches wider in the front and 2.9 inches wider in the rear than the track on the RC F.

The Huracán Evo Coupe handles at 1.12 G’s, while the RC F pulls only .92 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Huracán Evo Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.7 seconds quicker than the RC F (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 24.9 seconds @ .8 average G’s).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 to 850 pounds less than the Lexus RC F.

The Huracán Technica Coupe is 7.5 inches shorter than the RC F, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Huracán is 8.8 inches shorter in height than the RC F, making the Huracán much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The Huracán offers an optional under hood light to help in making nighttime maintenance checks, adding fluids, etc. The RC F doesn’t offer an under hood light.

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The RC F does not have an oil pressure gauge.
