Compare the2023 Lamborghini Huracán VS 2022 Ford GT

The Huracán has standard front seat tall, head-protecting side-impact airbags, which act as a forgiving barrier between the passengers and the door. Combined with high-strength steel door beams this system increases protection from broadside collisions. The GT doesn't offer side-impact airbags or side airbag protection for the head.

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The GT doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rear parking sensors.

In a Motor Trend race course test, the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe was clocked 1.16 seconds faster than the Ford GT (82.53 sec. vs. 83.69 sec.).

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The GT doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Huracán’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. The GT doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Huracán has 5.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the GT (21.1 vs. 15.2 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Ford GT is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GT’s 35 series front tires.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The GT doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The front and rear suspension of the Huracán uses coil springs for better ride, handling and control than the GT, which uses torsion bars in the rear. Coil springs compress more progressively and offer more suspension travel for a smoother ride with less bottoming out.

The Huracán has vehicle speed sensitive variable-assist power steering, for low-effort parking, better control at highway speeds and during hard cornering, and a better feel of the road. The GT doesn’t offer variable-assist power steering.

The Huracán Coupe AWD handles at 1.14 G’s, while the GT pulls only 1.11 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Huracán Evo Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the GT (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 22.7 seconds @ .97 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 2.3 feet tighter than the GT’s (37.7 feet vs. 40 feet).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 400 pounds less than the Ford GT.

The Huracán Technica Coupe is 9.6 inches shorter than the GT, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Huracán has 3 cubic feet more passenger volume than the GT (46 vs. 43).

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Huracán. The GT doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The GT doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Huracán’s standard outside mirrors include heating elements to clear off the mirrors for better visibility. The GT doesn’t offer heated side mirrors.

The Huracán’s optional rear view mirror has an automatic dimming feature. This mirror can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on it, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The GT doesn’t offer the luxury of an automatic dimming rear view mirror.

The Huracán offers optional heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the GT.

The Huracán’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The GT doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

The Lamborghini Huracán comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Ford GT isn’t available as a convertible.
