The Huracán offers optional parking sensors to help warn the driver about vehicles, pedestrians or other obstacles behind or in front of their vehicle. The SF90 doesn’t offer a front parking aid.
Both the Huracán and the SF90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.
An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The SF90 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
The Huracán has 3.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the SF90 (21.1 vs. 18 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The SF90 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
The Huracán AWD has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The SF90 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.
The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the SF90’s 35 series front tires.
Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The SF90 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.
The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 50 to 500 pounds less than the Ferrari SF90.
The Huracán Technica Coupe is 7.5 inches shorter than the SF90, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
The Huracán Coupe has a larger trunk than the SF90 Coupe (3.5 vs. 2.6 cubic feet).
The Huracán’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The SF90’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The SF90 doesn’t offer headlight washers.
The Huracán’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The SF90 doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.
The Huracán is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The SF90 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The SF90 has never been an “All Star.”
