The Lamborghini Huracán has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The F-Type doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Both the Huracán and the F-Type have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The F-Type doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Huracán has 2.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the F-Type (21.1 vs. 18.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The F-Type doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Huracán offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The F-Type doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

The Huracán AWD has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The F-Type doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the F-Type:

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the F-Type’s 35 series front tires.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The F-Type doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Huracán is 3.7 inches wider in the front and .2 inches wider in the rear than the track on the F-Type.

The Huracán Evo Coupe handles at 1.12 G’s, while the F-Type Coupe pulls only .96 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Huracán Evo Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.2 seconds quicker than the F-Type R Coupe (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 24.4 seconds @ .82 average G’s).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 750 pounds less than the Jaguar F-Type.

The Huracán offers an optional under hood light to help in making nighttime maintenance checks, adding fluids, etc. The F-Type doesn’t offer an under hood light.

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The F-Type does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Huracán has a standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. Dual zone air conditioning costs extra on the F-Type.

With standard voice command, the Huracán offers the driver hands free control of the radio, climate controls and the navigation computer by simply speaking. The F-Type doesn’t offer a voice control system.

The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The F-Type hasn’t been picked since 2014.
