Compare the2023 Lamborghini Huracán VS 2023 Chevrolet Corvette

The Lamborghini Huracán has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Corvette doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Corvette doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Huracán offers optional parking sensors to help warn the driver about vehicles, pedestrians or other obstacles behind or in front of their vehicle. The Corvette doesn’t offer a front parking aid.

Both the Huracán and the Corvette have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

For smoother operation, better efficiency and fewer moving parts, the engines in the Huracán have an overhead cam design, rather than the old pushrod design of some of the engines in the Corvette.

In a Road and Track race course test, the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe was clocked 2.83 seconds faster than the Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (80 sec. vs. 82.83 sec.).

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Huracán’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. The Corvette doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The Huracán has 2.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Corvette (21.1 vs. 18.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Chevrolet Corvette is not available with all wheel drive.

For better stopping power the Huracán’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the Corvette:

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 350 to 500 pounds less than the Chevrolet Corvette.

The Huracán Technica Coupe is 4.4 inches shorter than the Corvette, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Corvette doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Motor Trend performed a comparison test in its March 2021 issue and they ranked the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe first. They ranked the Chevrolet Corvette Coupe fifth.

The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The Corvette has never been an “All Star.”
