Both the Huracán and the R8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

Fuel Economy and Range
An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The R8 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
The Huracán has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the R8 Coupe’s standard fuel tank (21.1 vs. 19.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the Huracán’s brake rotors are larger than those on the R8:

14.4 inches |
Tires and Wheels
Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The R8 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.
Suspension and Handling
The Huracán has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads. The R8’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.
For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Huracán is 1.3 inches wider in the front and 1.3 inches wider in the rear than the track on the R8.
Chassis
The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 pounds less than the Audi R8.
Ergonomics
The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The R8 does not have an oil pressure gauge.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The R8 doesn’t offer headlight washers.
The Huracán’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The R8 doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.
Recommendations
The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The R8 has never been an “All Star.”
