The Lamborghini Huracán has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Vantage doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Vantage doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the Vantage have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rear parking sensors.

In a Motor Trend race course test, the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe was clocked 8.42 seconds faster than the Aston Martin Vantage Coupe (90 sec. vs. 98.42 sec.).

The Huracán has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Vantage (21.1 vs. 19.3 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Vantage doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Huracán offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Vantage doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Aston Martin Vantage is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The Vantage doesn’t offer launch control.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the Vantage:

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Vantage F1/V12’s 35 series front tires.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Vantage doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Huracán Coupe AWD handles at 1.14 G’s, while the Vantage Coupe pulls only .99 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The Huracán Evo Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.8 seconds quicker than the Vantage Coupe (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 24 seconds @ .83 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 1 foot tighter than the Vantage’s (37.7 feet vs. 38.7 feet).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 700 pounds less than the Aston Martin Vantage.

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Huracán. The Vantage doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Vantage does not have an oil pressure gauge.

Motor Trend performed a comparison test in its November 2018 issue and they ranked the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Coupe first. They ranked the Aston Martin Vantage Coupe fifth.

The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The Vantage has never been an “All Star.”
