The Lamborghini Huracán has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The DBS doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The DBS doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the DBS have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

As tested in Motor Trend the Huracán Evo is faster than the Aston Martin DBS:

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The DBS doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Huracán offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The DBS doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Aston Martin DBS is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The DBS doesn’t offer launch control.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the DBS:

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the DBS’ 35 series front tires.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The DBS doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Huracán Evo Coupe handles at 1.12 G’s, while the DBS Superleggera Coupe pulls only 1.02 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Huracán Evo Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.4 seconds quicker than the DBS Superleggera Coupe (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 23.6 seconds @ .89 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 3 feet tighter than the DBS’ (37.7 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 900 to 1100 pounds less than the Aston Martin DBS.

The Huracán Technica Coupe is 7.6 inches shorter than the DBS, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Huracán. The DBS doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Huracán offers an optional under hood light to help in making nighttime maintenance checks, adding fluids, etc. The DBS doesn’t offer an under hood light.

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The DBS does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The DBS doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Huracán was chosen as one of Automobile Magazine’s “All Stars” in 2015. The DBS has never been an “All Star.”
