The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Mercedes AMG GT doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the Mercedes AMG GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

Fuel Economy and Range

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The Mercedes AMG GT doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Huracán has 1.3 gallons more fuel capacity than the Mercedes AMG GT (21.1 vs. 19.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Mercedes AMG GT doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

Drivetrain

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Mercedes AMG GT is not available with all wheel drive.

Brakes and Stopping

The Huracán stops much shorter than the Mercedes AMG GT:

Tires and Wheels

For better traction and acceleration, the Huracán has larger rear tires than the Mercedes AMG GT (305/30R20 vs. 295/30R19).

The Huracán AWD’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Mercedes AMG GT’s 35 series front tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Huracán AWD has standard 20-inch wheels. The Mercedes AMG GT’s largest wheels are only 19-inches in the front and 20-inches in the rear.

Chassis

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GT.

Ergonomics

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Mercedes AMG GT does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Mercedes AMG GT doesn’t offer headlight washers.
