The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The 600LT doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the 600LT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available rear parking sensors.

The Huracán Evo’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 10 more horsepower (602 vs. 592) than the 600LT’s 3.8 turbo V8. The Huracán Evo’s optional 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 38 more horsepower (630 vs. 592) than the 600LT’s 3.8 turbo V8. The Huracán STO’s standard 5.2 DOHC V10 produces 39 more horsepower (631 vs. 592) than the 600LT’s 3.8 turbo V8.

As tested in Road and Track the Huracán Evo is faster than the McLaren 600LT:

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The 600LT doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Huracán has 2.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the 600LT (21.1 vs. 19 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren 600LT is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the Huracán has larger tires than the 600LT (F:245/30R20 & R:305/30R20 vs. F:225/35R19 & R:285/35R20).

The Huracán AWD’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 600LT’s 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Huracán AWD has standard 20-inch wheels. The 600LT’s largest wheels are only 19-inches in the front and 20-inches in the rear.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Huracán is 1.2 inches wider in the rear than on the 600LT.

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 3.3 feet tighter than the 600LT’s (37.7 feet vs. 41 feet).

The Huracán is 3.4 inches shorter than the 600LT, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Huracán. The 600LT doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Huracán’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The 600LT does not have an oil pressure gauge.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Huracán has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The 600LT doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Huracán’s power mirror controls are mounted on the door for easy access. The 600LT’s power mirror controls are on the dash where they are possibly hidden by the steering wheel and are awkward to manipulate.

The Huracán has a standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible.

With standard voice command, the Huracán offers the driver hands free control of the radio, climate controls and the navigation computer by simply speaking. The 600LT doesn’t offer a voice control system.

Bluetooth wireless connectivity is standard on the Huracán, connecting the driver and passenger’s cell phones to the vehicle systems. This allows them to use the vehicle’s stereo and hand controls to place calls safely and easily.
