Safety
Warranty
The Artura comes with a full 5-year/45000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The 911’s 4-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.
McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance (up to 3 oil changes) on the Artura for 2 years and 17000 miles longer than Porsche pays for maintenance for the 911 (3/27000 vs. 1/10,000).
Engine
The Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 292 more horsepower (671 vs. 379) and 200 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 331) than the 911’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 228 more horsepower (671 vs. 443) and 141 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 390) than the 911 S’ standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 198 more horsepower (671 vs. 473) and 111 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 420) than the 911 GTS’ standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder. The Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 31 more horsepower (671 vs. 640) than the 911 Turbo S’ standard 3.7 turbo 6-cylinder.

The Artura can travel with zero emissions for 11 miles. The 911 can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.
Regenerative brakes improve the Artura’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The 911 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.
The Artura has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The 911 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Environmental Friendliness
In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the McLaren Artura higher (6 out of 10) than the Porsche 911 (5). This means the Artura produces up to 6.9 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the 911 every 15,000 miles.
Brakes and Stopping
For better stopping power the Artura’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the 911:

Tires and Wheels
The Artura’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 911’s standard 40 series front tires.
Suspension and Handling
The Artura has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The 911 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Artura’s wheelbase is 7.4 inches longer than on the 911 (103.9 inches vs. 96.5 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Artura is 2.4 inches wider in the front and 1.9 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the 911.
The Artura’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (42% to 58%) than the 911’s (39.5% to 60.5%). This gives the Artura more stable handling and braking.
Cargo Capacity
The Artura has a much larger trunk than the 911 Coupe with its rear seat up (5.7 vs. 4.6 cubic feet).
With its coupe body style and remote trunk release lockout, the Artura offers cargo security. The 911’s non-lockable folding seat defeats cargo security.
