Compare the2023 McLaren Artura VS 2022 Lamborghini Aventador

The Artura’s optional lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The Aventador doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Artura offers an optional 360-degree park assist to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Aventador only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Artura and the Aventador have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding and daytime running lights.

McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the Artura for 3 years and 27000 miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance (up to 3 oil changes). Lamborghini doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Aventador.

On the EPA test cycle the Artura running on electricity gets better mileage than the Aventador SVJ Coupe with its standard engine (37 city/41 hwy MPGe vs. 9 city/16 hwy).

The Artura has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Aventador doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the McLaren Artura higher (6 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Aventador (1). This means the Artura produces up to 45.9 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Aventador every 15,000 miles.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the McLaren Artura, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the Aventador.

In an emergency stopping situation, many drivers don’t press the brakes with enough force to stop the vehicle in the shortest distance. The Artura has standard Brake Assist to detect emergency braking situations (by how hard and how quickly the brake pedal is pressed) and then automatically apply maximum braking immediately in order to help prevent a collision. The Aventador doesn’t offer a brake assist feature.

The Artura has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Aventador doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For better maneuverability, the Artura’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the Aventador’s (39.3 feet vs. 41 feet).

The Artura is 1 foot, 1 inches shorter than the Aventador Ultimae, making the Artura easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Artura is 7.3 inches narrower than the Aventador, making the Artura easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the Artura to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Lamborghini doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Aventador.

When five different drivers share the Artura, the optional memory system makes it convenient for each of them. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Aventador doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Artura’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Aventador doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Artura’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Aventador’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

The Artura’s LED headlights produce a white, bright light using less electricity than the Aventador’s xenon high intensity discharge (HID) headlights. HID headlights can be slow to reach full brightness or power cycle, causing issues when flashing them to signal other vehicles; LED headlights light instantly. LED lights also last about three to four times as long.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors available for the Artura detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Aventador doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the Artura offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Aventador doesn’t offer cornering lights.

When the Artura with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Aventador’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

The Artura’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The Aventador doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Artura offers an optional Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Aventador doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
