The Artura’s optional lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The NSX doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Artura offers an optional 360-degree park assist to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The NSX only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Artura and the NSX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding and daytime running lights.

The Artura comes with a full 5-year/45000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The NSX’s 4-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Artura’s corrosion warranty is 5 years longer than the NSX’s (10 vs. 5 years).

McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the Artura for 3 years and 27000 miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance (up to 3 oil changes). Acura doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the NSX.

The Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid produces 71 more horsepower (671 vs. 600) and 39 lbs.-ft. more torque (531 vs. 492) than the NSX’s 3.5 turbo V6 hybrid.

On the EPA test cycle the Artura running on electricity gets better mileage than the NSX Type S (37 city/41 hwy MPGe vs. 21 city/22 hwy).

The Artura can travel with zero emissions for 11 miles. The NSX can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Both the Artura and NSX have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. The Artura has a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily.

The Artura has 1.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the NSX (17.4 vs. 15.6 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the McLaren Artura higher (6 out of 10) than the Acura NSX (3). This means the Artura produces up to 23.4 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the NSX every 15,000 miles.

For better stopping power the Artura’s brake rotors are larger than those on the NSX:

The Artura has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The NSX doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The McLaren Artura may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 600 to 650 pounds less than the Acura NSX.

The Artura has a much larger trunk than the NSX (5.7 vs. 4.4 cubic feet).

When five different drivers share the Artura, the optional memory system makes it convenient for each of them. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver’s seat position, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The NSX doesn’t offer a memory system.

The Artura’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The NSX doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the Artura offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The NSX doesn’t offer cornering lights.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Artura offers an optional Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The NSX doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
