The Artura’s optional lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The Corvette doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Artura’s corrosion warranty is 4 years and unlimited miles longer than the Corvette’s (10/unlimited vs. 6/100,000).

McLaren pays for scheduled maintenance on the Artura for 3 years and 27000 miles. McLaren will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance (up to 3 oil changes). Chevrolet only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Corvette.

For smoother operation, better efficiency and fewer moving parts, the Artura has an overhead cam design, rather than the old pushrod design of some of the engines in the Corvette.

The Artura can travel with zero emissions for 11 miles. The Corvette can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Artura’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Corvette doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Artura’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Corvette doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

For better stopping power the Artura’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the Corvette:

The Artura has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Corvette doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Artura’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (42% to 58%) than the Corvette’s (40% to 60%). This gives the Artura more stable handling and braking.

With its coupe body style and remote trunk release lockout, the Artura offers cargo security. The Corvette’s non-lockable remote release defeats cargo security.

The Artura’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Corvette’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors available for the Artura detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Corvette doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the Artura offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Corvette doesn’t offer cornering lights.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Artura offers an optional Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Corvette doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
