For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Bentley Bentayga are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Bentayga helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then projects the image on the windshield, near the driver’s line of sight. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Bentayga and the Range Rover Sport have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and available lane departure warning systems.

The Bentayga comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Range Rover Sport’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Bentayga V8/W12’s fuel efficiency. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Bentayga Hybrid’s standard fuel tank has almost a gallon more fuel capacity than the Range Rover Sport P440e’s standard fuel tank (19.8 vs. 18.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Bentayga’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Range Rover Sport:

The Bentayga SPEED offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Bentayga has larger tires than the Range Rover Sport (285/45R21 vs. 275/50R21).

The Bentayga’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Range Rover Sport’s standard 50 series tires. The Bentayga’s optional tires have a lower 40 series profile than the Range Rover Sport’s optional 45 series tires.

The Bentayga is 8 inches narrower than the Range Rover Sport, making the Bentayga easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Bentayga offers optional seating for 7 passengers; the Range Rover Sport can only carry 5.

A standard locking glovebox and optional locking center console (which can’t be accessed with the valet key) keeps your small valuables safer in the Bentayga. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

While the Range Rover Sport P440e can only tow 6613, any Bentayga can tow a minimum of 7165 pounds.

The Bentayga has a standard locking fuel and charge port door with a remote release located convenient to the driver. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank. A locking fuel/charge port door is only offered on the Range Rover Sport P440e.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Bentayga to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. Heated windshield washer nozzles cost extra on the Range Rover Sport.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Bentayga has standard extendable sun visors. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Bentayga to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Range Rover Sport doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Bentayga has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Range Rover Sport.

Both the Bentayga and the Range Rover Sport offer available massaging front seats. The Bentayga also offers optional massaging second row seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the Range Rover Sport.
