The DBX’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Urus.

The DBX has a standard blind spot warning system which uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the Urus’ blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the DBX has a standard rear cross-path warning system, which uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. Rear cross-path warning costs extra on the Urus.

Both the DBX and the Urus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes and rearview cameras.

The DBX707’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 produces 56 more horsepower (697 vs. 641) and 36 lbs.-ft. more torque (663 vs. 627) than the Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the DBX’s fuel efficiency. The Urus doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the DBX’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Urus doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

The DBX has 2.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Urus’ standard fuel tank (22.5 vs. 19.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The DBX has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Urus doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Aston Martin DBX higher (5 out of 10) than the Lamborghini Urus (3). This means the DBX produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Urus every 15,000 miles.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Aston Martin DBX, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Urus.

The DBX stops shorter than the Urus:

For better traction and acceleration, the DBX has larger rear tires than the Urus (325/35R22 vs. 315/40R21).

The DBX’s standard 285/40R22 front and 325/35R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Urus’ standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the DBX has standard 22-inch wheels. Smaller 21-inch wheels are standard on the Urus.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the DBX’s wheelbase is 2.3 inches longer than on the Urus (120.5 inches vs. 118.2 inches).

The DBX’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (52.7% to 47.3%) than the Urus’ (56% to 44%). This gives the DBX more stable handling and braking.

For greater off-road capability the DBX has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Urus (9.3 vs. 8.4 inches), allowing the DBX to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The DBX has 4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Urus (109 vs. 105).

The DBX has .1 inches more front legroom, 2 inches more rear headroom and .9 inches more rear legroom than the Urus.

The DBX has a larger cargo volume than the Urus with its rear seat up (22.5 vs. 21.8 cubic feet).

Standard Trailer Stability Control on the DBX uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Urus doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The DBX’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Urus’

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the DBX’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The Urus doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin DBX offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) for the front seat. The Urus doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The DBX’s Auto Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Urus doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
