The Aston Martin DBX has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Bentayga doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The DBX’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Bentayga.

Both the DBX and the Bentayga have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The DBX’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Bentayga’s (10 vs. 3 years).

The DBX has 2.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Bentayga Hybrid’s standard fuel tank (22.5 vs. 19.8 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The DBX has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Bentayga doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Aston Martin DBX higher (5 out of 10) than the Bentley Bentayga (3). This means the DBX produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Bentayga every 15,000 miles.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Aston Martin DBX, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Bentayga.

For better traction and acceleration, the DBX has larger rear tires than the Bentayga (325/35R22 vs. 285/45R21).

The DBX’s standard 285/40R22 front and 325/35R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Bentayga’s standard 45 series tires. The DBX’s optional 285/35R23 front and 325/30R23 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the Bentayga’s optional 40 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the DBX has standard 22-inch wheels. Smaller 21-inch wheels are standard on the Bentayga. The DBX’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 22-inch wheels optional on the Bentayga.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the DBX’s wheelbase is 2.6 inches longer than on the Bentayga V8 (120.5 inches vs. 117.9 inches).

The DBX’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (52.7% to 47.3%) than the Bentayga’s (56% to 44%). This gives the DBX more stable handling and braking.

The DBX707 handles at .97 G’s, while the Bentayga pulls only .78 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The DBX executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.2 seconds quicker than the Bentayga (24.4 seconds @ .79 average G’s vs. 25.6 seconds @ .74 average G’s).

The Aston Martin DBX may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 700 pounds less than the Bentley Bentayga.

The DBX is 3.4 inches shorter than the Bentayga V8, making the DBX easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the DBX when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the liftgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The Bentayga doesn’t offer tailgating seats.

The DBX has a much larger cargo volume than the Bentayga with its rear seat up (22.5 vs. 7.5 cubic feet).

The DBX’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Bentayga w/Four Seat Comfort Specification doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Trailer Stability Control is standard on all models of the DBX, using the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Bentayga Hybrid doesn’t offer a trailer sway program.

If the windows are left open on the DBX the driver can close them all from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Bentayga can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The DBX’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Bentayga’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.
