Compare the2023 Jaguar F-PaceVS 2022 Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe

Both the F-Pace and AMG GLC Coupe have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The F-Pace has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The AMG GLC Coupe’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the F-Pace’s standard All Surface Progress Control allows you to creep down safely. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer All Surface Progress Control.

The F-Pace’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the AMG GLC Coupe.

Both the F-Pace and the AMG GLC Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG GLC Coupe’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

The F-Pace’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the AMG GLC Coupe’s (6 vs. 5 years).

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Jaguar will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Mercedes doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the AMG GLC Coupe.

The F-Pace R-Dynamic S’ standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid produces 10 more horsepower (395 vs. 385) and 22 lbs.-ft. more torque (406 vs. 384) than the AMG GLC Coupe’s 3.0 turbo V6. The F-Pace SVR’s standard 5.0 supercharged V8 produces 157 more horsepower (542 vs. 385) and 132 lbs.-ft. more torque (516 vs. 384) than the AMG GLC Coupe’s 3.0 turbo V6.

Regenerative brakes improve the F-Pace’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The F-Pace has 4.5 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG GLC Coupe (21.9 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The F-Pace offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the AMG GLC Coupe; it requires you to depend on a temporary spare or run-flat tires, either of which has mileage and speed limitations.

The F-Pace SVR handles at .89 G’s, while the AMG GLC 43 Coupe pulls only .88 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

For greater off-road capability the F-Pace has a 2.2 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the AMG GLC 63 Coupe (8.4 vs. 6.2 inches), allowing the F-Pace to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The F-Pace SVR’s minimum ground clearance is 2.2 inches higher than on the AMG GLC 63 S Coupe (8.6 vs. 6.4 inches).

The Jaguar F-Pace may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 200 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe.

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the F-Pace has a standard rear wiper. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The F-Pace (except Base) offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the AMG GLC Coupe.
