Both the F-Pace and RX have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The F-Pace has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The RX’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the F-Pace. But it costs extra on the RX.

The F-Pace’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The RX doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the F-Pace and the RX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The RX’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 4 years and 50,000 miles longer than Lexus pays for maintenance for the RX (5/60,000 vs. 1/10,000).

The F-Pace has more powerful engines than the RX:

The F-Pace has 4.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the RX 350h/500h’s standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 17.2 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The F-Pace has 4.1 gallons more fuel capacity than the RX 350’s standard fuel tank (21.9 vs. 17.8 gallons).

For better stopping power the F-Pace’s standard front brake rotors are larger than those on the RX:

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the F-Pace offers optional 22-inch wheels. The RX’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the F-Pace can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The RX doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The F-Pace’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (51% to 49%) than the RX’s (54.7% to 45.3%). This gives the F-Pace more stable handling and braking.

For greater off-road capability the F-Pace has a greater minimum ground clearance than the RX 350 (8.4 vs. 8.1 inches), allowing the F-Pace to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The F-Pace SVR’s minimum ground clearance is .4 inch higher than on the RX 350h (8.6 vs. 8.2 inches).

The F-Pace is 5.6 inches shorter than the RX, making the F-Pace easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The RX doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The F-Pace has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the RX with its rear seat up (32.1 vs. 29.6 cubic feet). The F-Pace has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the RX with its rear seat folded (70.4 vs. 46.2 cubic feet).

The F-Pace’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the RX’s (5291 vs. 0 pounds).

The engine in the F-Pace is mounted longitudinally (North-South), instead of sideways, as in the RX. This makes it easier to service and maintain, because the accessory belts are in front.

The F-Pace has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The RX doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the RX Premium/Luxury/500h F Sport, the F-Pace (except Base) offers an optional driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the F-Pace to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The RX doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

The F-Pace (except Base) offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the RX.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Jaguar F-Pace has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the RX.
