The F-Pace has a standard blind spot warning system which uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them and moves the vehicle back into its lane. A system to reveal vehicles in the Range Rover’s blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the F-Pace has a standard rear cross-path warning system, which uses sensors in the rear bumper to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side, helping the driver avoid collisions. Rear cross-path warning costs extra on the Range Rover.

Both the F-Pace and the Range Rover have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The F-Pace comes with a full 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Range Rover’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 10,000 miles sooner.

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the F-Pace for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Jaguar will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Land Rover only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Range Rover.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Jaguar vehicles are more reliable than Land Rover With 51 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Jaguar higher than Land Rover.

Both the F-Pace and the Range Rover have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. All F-Paces have a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily. The Range Rover P360/P400 doesn’t offer a way to disable start/stop.

For better traction, the F-Pace has larger standard tires than the Range Rover (255/55R19 vs. 235/65R19).

The F-Pace’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 55 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Range Rover’s standard 65 series tires. The F-Pace SVR’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires have a lower 35 series profile than the Range Rover’s optional 40 series tires.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the F-Pace can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Range Rover doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

The F-Pace SVR handles at .89 G’s, while the Range Rover pulls only .75 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

The F-Pace SVR executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.7 seconds quicker than the Range Rover HSE (25 seconds @ .77 average G’s vs. 27.7 seconds @ .67 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the F-Pace’s turning circle is 1.3 feet tighter than the Range Rover’s (39.2 feet vs. 40.5 feet). The F-Pace’s turning circle is 3.6 feet tighter than the Range Rover LWB’s (39.2 feet vs. 42.8 feet).

The Jaguar F-Pace may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1000 to 1200 pounds less than the Land Rover Range Rover.

The F-Pace is 10 inches shorter than the Range Rover, making the F-Pace easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The F-Pace is 8 inches shorter in height than the Range Rover, making the F-Pace much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

The F-Pace uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Range Rover doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The F-Pace’s liftgate lifts up in one piece, completely out of the way of loading and unloading, while sheltering the cargo loading area. The Range Rover’s tailgate’s top part raises up, but the bottom part lowers, getting in the way of loading and making an uneven surface for sliding cargo.

If the windows are left open on the F-Pace the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Range Rover can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the F-Pace to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Range Rover doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Jaguar F-Pace has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Range Rover doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

Insurance will cost less for the F-Pace owner. The Complete Car Cost Guide estimates that insurance for the F-Pace will cost $5165 less than the Range Rover over a five-year period.

IntelliChoice estimates that five-year ownership costs (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, fees, repairs and maintenance) for the Jaguar F-Pace will be $42034 to $106452 less than for the Land Rover Range Rover.
