An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Acadia’s fuel efficiency. The QX60 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.
Regenerative brakes improve the Acadia 2.0 Turbo’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The QX60 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.
The Acadia FWD’s standard fuel tank has almost a gallon more fuel capacity than the QX60 (19.4 vs. 18.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The Acadia AWD’s standard fuel tank has 3.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the QX60 (21.7 vs. 18.5 gallons).

The GMC Acadia’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Infiniti QX60 only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.
Suspension and Handling
The Acadia offers an available driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The QX60’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.
The Acadia SLT AWD handles at .82 G’s, while the QX60 Sensory AWD pulls only .80 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.
The Acadia SLT AWD executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.1 seconds quicker than the QX60 Sensory AWD (26.9 seconds @ .67 average G’s vs. 28 seconds @ .6 average G’s).
For greater off-road capability the Acadia has a greater minimum ground clearance than the QX60 (7.2 vs. 6.7 inches), allowing the Acadia to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Ergonomics
In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Acadia’s available exterior PIN entry system. The QX60 doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system, and its Infiniti Connection can’t unlock the doors if the vehicle doesn’t have cell phone reception or the driver can’t contact the service.
Economic Advantages
Insurance will cost less for the Acadia owner. The Complete Car Cost Guide estimates that insurance for the Acadia will cost $440 to $2770 less than the QX60 over a five-year period.
The Acadia will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the Acadia will retain 47.29% to 50.03% of its original price after five years, while the QX60 only retains 43.55% to 44.5%.
IntelliChoice estimates that five-year ownership costs (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, fees, repairs and maintenance) for the GMC Acadia will be $15149 to $18155 less than for the Infiniti QX60.
