The QX80 comes with a full 4-year/60,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Range Rover Sport’s 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty expires 10,000 miles sooner.

Infiniti’s powertrain warranty covers the QX80 2 years and 20,000 miles longer than Land Rover covers the Range Rover Sport. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Range Rover Sport ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The QX80’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Range Rover Sport’s (7 vs. 6 years).

Infiniti pays for scheduled maintenance on the QX80 for 3 years and 36,000 miles. Infiniti will pay for oil changes, lubrication and any other required maintenance. Land Rover only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Range Rover Sport.

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the QX80’s reliability 12 points higher than the Range Rover Sport.

Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Infiniti vehicles are more reliable than Land Rover With 56 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Infiniti higher than Land Rover.

The QX80’s 5.6 DOHC V8 produces 45 more horsepower (400 vs. 355) and 48 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 365) than the Range Rover Sport P360’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The QX80’s 5.6 DOHC V8 produces 5 more horsepower (400 vs. 395) and 8 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 405) than the Range Rover Sport P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid.

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Infiniti QX80 uses regular unleaded gasoline (premium recommended for maximum performance). The Range Rover Sport requires premium, which can cost 20 to 55 cents more per gallon.
