The Q4 e-tron has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Ioniq 5 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The Q4 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 5 years longer than the Ioniq 5’s (12 vs. 7 years).

The Q4 e-tron has more powerful engines than the Ioniq 5:

The Q4 50 e-tron can travel longer on a full charge than the Ioniq 5 Standard Range RWD (241 miles vs. 220 miles).

For better traction and acceleration, the Q4 e-tron has larger rear tires than the Ioniq 5 (255/50R19 vs. 235/55R19).

The Q4 e-tron’s standard 255/50R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Ioniq 5’s standard 55 series tires.

The Q4 e-tron offers an optional or off-road. The Ioniq 5’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron’s turning circle is 1.6 feet tighter than the Ioniq 5’s (37.7 feet vs. 39.3 feet).

The Q4 e-tron’s front and rear power windows all open or close fully with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside the car. The Ioniq 5’s standard passenger windows don’t open or close automatically. With the Ioniq 5 SEL/Limited’s power windows, only the front windows open or close automatically.

If the windows are left open on the Q4 e-tron the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Ioniq 5 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

The Q4 e-tron’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Ioniq 5’s standard manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Q4 e-tron has a standard rear wiper. The Ioniq 5 doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Ioniq 5 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Q4 e-tron’s optional rear and side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Ioniq 5 offers an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

The Q4 e-tron has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the Ioniq 5 SEL/Limited.

The Q4 e-tron will cost the buyer less in the long run because of its superior resale value. The IntelliChoice estimates that the Q4 e-tron will retain 44.62% to 46.17% of its original price after five years, while the Ioniq 5 only retains 43.25% to 43.48%.
