The Vantage comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG E-Class Coupe’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Vantage’s corrosion warranty is 5 years longer than the AMG E-Class Coupe’s (10 vs. 5 years).

The Vantage’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 produces 74 more horsepower (503 vs. 429) and 121 lbs.-ft. more torque (505 vs. 384) than the AMG E-Class Coupe’s 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid. The Vantage F1’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 produces 98 more horsepower (527 vs. 429) and 121 lbs.-ft. more torque (505 vs. 384) than the AMG E-Class Coupe’s 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid.

As tested in Motor Trend the Aston Martin Vantage 4.0 is faster than the Mercedes AMG E-Class Coupe:

The Vantage has 1.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG E-Class Coupe (19.3 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Vantage’s brake rotors are larger than those on the AMG E-Class Coupe:

The Vantage offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The AMG E-Class Coupe doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Vantage stops much shorter than the AMG E-Class Coupe:

For better traction, the Vantage has larger tires than the AMG E-Class Coupe (F:255/40R20 & R:295/35R20 vs. F:245/40R19 & R:275/35R19).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vantage has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the AMG E-Class Coupe. The Vantage’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels optional on the AMG E-Class Coupe.

The Vantage has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the AMG E-Class Coupe; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some tire options on the AMG E-Class Coupe don’t have a run-flat feature, either.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Vantage is 1.5 inches wider in the front and 2 inches wider in the rear than on the AMG E-Class Coupe.

The Vantage Coupe executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 1.3 seconds quicker than the AMG E 53 Coupe (24 seconds @ .83 average G’s vs. 25.3 seconds @ .74 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Vantage’s turning circle is 1 foot tighter than the AMG E-Class Coupe’s (38.7 feet vs. 39.7 feet).

The Aston Martin Vantage may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 600 to 700 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG E-Class Coupe.

The Vantage is 1 foot, 2.8 inches shorter than the AMG E-Class Coupe, making the Vantage easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Vantage Coupe has a much larger trunk than the AMG E-Class Coupe (12.2 vs. 10 cubic feet).

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Vantage has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The AMG E-Class Coupe doesn’t offer headlight washers.
