Compare the2022 Porsche 911VS 2022 Bentley Continental GT

Both the 911 and the Continental GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available all wheel drive, crash mitigating brakes, night vision systems, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The 911 comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Continental GT’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The 911’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the Continental GT’s (12 vs. 3 years).

There are over 4 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the 911’s warranty.

In a Road and Track race course test, the Porsche 911 GT3 was clocked 7.3 seconds faster than the Bentley Continental GT SPEED Coupe (81.69 sec. vs. 88.99 sec.).

The flat cylinder configuration of the boxer engine in the 911 lowers its center of gravity, enhancing handling stability. The Continental GT doesn’t offer a boxer engine configuration.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Porsche 911 higher (5 out of 10) than the Bentley Continental GT (3). This means the 911 produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Continental GT every 15,000 miles.

The 911’s standard 235/40R19 front and 295/35R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series front and 35 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Continental GT V8’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

The Porsche 911 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1550 to 1650 pounds less than the Bentley Continental GT.

The 911 is 1 foot, 1 inches shorter than the Continental GT, making the 911 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the 911 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Continental GT doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The 911’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Continental GT doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the 911 (except Cabriolet/GT3) offers an optional rear wiper. The Continental GT doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the 911 offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Continental GT doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The 911 (except Manual/GT3)’s optional Active Parking Support can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Continental GT’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.

The 911 is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Continental GT doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
