For enhanced safety, the front and middle seat shoulder belts of the Nissan Armada are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Jeep Wagoneer L doesn’t offer height-adjustable middle seat belts.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2021 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Nissan vehicles are better in initial quality than Jeep vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Nissan above average in initial quality. With 3 more problems per 100 vehicles, Jeep is rated lower.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2021 Auto Issue reports that Nissan vehicles are more reliable than Jeep vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Nissan 6 places higher in reliability than Jeep.

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Nissan Armada uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Grand Wagoneer L requires premium, which can cost 20 to 55 cents more per gallon.

The rear suspension of the Armada uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Wagoneer L, which uses standard coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

For better maneuverability, the Armada’s turning circle is .9 feet tighter than the Wagoneer L’s (41.3 feet vs. 42.2 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Armada S/SV has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Wagoneer L (9.1 vs. 8.3 inches), allowing the Armada to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Nissan Armada may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 650 pounds less than the Jeep Wagoneer L.

The Armada is 1 foot, 5.8 inches shorter than the Wagoneer L, making the Armada easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Armada’s front and rear power windows all open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Wagoneer L’s standard power windows’ rear power window switches have to be held the entire time to close them fully.

If the windows are left open on the Armada the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Wagoneer L can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
