The Quattroporte has standard whiplash protection, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the whiplash protection system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The AMG E-Class Sedan doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

The Quattroporte’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the AMG E-Class Sedan.

The Quattroporte Modena’s standard 3.0 turbo V6 produces 44 lbs.-ft. more torque (428 vs. 384) than the AMG E-Class Sedan’s 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid. The Quattroporte Trofeo’s standard 3.8 turbo V8 produces 151 more horsepower (580 vs. 429) and 154 lbs.-ft. more torque (538 vs. 384) than the AMG E-Class Sedan’s 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid.

The Quattroporte has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The AMG E-Class Sedan doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Quattroporte has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the AMG E-Class Sedan; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed. Some tire options on the AMG E-Class Sedan don’t have a run-flat feature, either.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Quattroporte’s wheelbase is 9.1 inches longer than on the AMG E-Class Sedan (124.8 inches vs. 115.7 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Quattroporte is .2 inches wider in the front and 1.9 inches wider in the rear than on the AMG E-Class Sedan.
